Making Connections: From Electrical Panels to Pickleball Courts

At the heart of our work as electricians is a simple idea: connections matter.

Our primary job is making good electrical connections — solid, reliable ones that allow homes to function safely and smoothly. Over the years, that idea has stretched beyond panels and wires and into how we think about community.

Because strong connections matter everywhere.

Finding Connection Off the Jobsite

Like many families on the Central Coast, we’re always looking for ways to stay active and connected. This year, our family is just starting to play pickleball — and we’re quickly seeing why it’s growing so fast.

Pickleball has a way of bringing people together:

  • different ages

  • different skill levels

  • familiar faces and brand-new ones

You show up, grab a paddle, and suddenly you’re part of something.

Where We’ve Been Playing

So far, we’ve been spending time at Centennial Park in Paso Robles, playing alongside the Paso Pickleball Club. The atmosphere has been welcoming, encouraging, and fun — exactly what you hope for when you’re learning something new.

We’re also excited to see the new courts coming to Sherwood, which will only add to the momentum and give even more people a place to play and connect.

It’s encouraging to see communities investing in spaces that bring people together.

A Thought That Sparked an Idea

During one of my first games, I had a random thought:

“Our logo would actually make a great pickleball paddle.”

That idea stuck.

So we did something simple and fun — we had a small run of Elect Electric pickleball paddles made. Nothing fancy. Just a lighthearted way to share something we’re enjoying with the people around us.

Sharing the Fun

Over the coming weeks, we’ll be giving away a few pickleball paddles to:

  • clients

  • neighbors

  • and members of the local community

It’s our way of saying thanks and being part of something bigger than our day-to-day work.

We’ll be sharing details through Social Media as we go. Be sure to follow us on Facebook, Instagram, and X.

Why This Matters to Us

At the end of the day, our work is about helping homes function well, but our business exists inside a community.

Pickleball has reminded us that connection doesn’t have to be complicated. Sometimes it’s just showing up, learning something new, and sharing a few laughs along the way.

We’re excited to keep playing, keep learning, and keep making connections — on the job and off the court.

See You Around

If you see us at Centennial Park, around town, or at a local event, come say hi.

And if you’ve got a favorite court or a regular spot to play, we’d love to hear about it.
